Air Canada Sings
In August, 11 Air Canada employees win their glee club musical showdown on Canada Sings, a reality TV show airing on GlobalTV. The “Airborne 11” crew, as they are known, all moved up the ranks at Air Canada as “sluggers” (lugging baggage) and customer service representatives. They donate their prize earnings to Ronald McDonald House Toronto to support fellow member Bill Kent, who spent four months living at Ronald McDonald House Toronto in 2004 with his daughter Brittany (then 16 years old), who had undergone a kidney transplant. Bill donated his kidney to save his daughter’s life.
